Back 2 School Bash

So within the last 2 weeks I decided to have a Back to School party for my children and their friends. I google a few ideas and found so many free printables that could make my party fab. My go to party planning sites are Hostess with the Mostess and Catch my Party , I almost always find everything I need on these sites. After researching, obsessing , gluing, crafting, cutting and everything else you can image here’s the final look of my Back 2 School Bash …..

I purchased a large chalk board from Dollar Tree for $1 and used it and my sign. My local library sells old used books 20 for $1, I went and purchased 10 and used them as a display. (But also to be read later). The square and long platters were purchased at Party City and I lined them with a free scattered math symbol back to school printable. Colored frames are from Ikea and the cute “snack time” and math cards I found for free on this site .

AfroPunk 2013 !!!!

Soooooo , it’s been awhile since my last post. And I know I keep saying I’m going to do better but this time I really mean it …. Really I do.

This weekend was the AfroPunk Fest in Brooklyn, NY and Hubby and I attended with one of his best friends. It was amazing, I had so much fun. The culture, the style, the music was so …… Ahhhhh it was everything ! If I had to give my own description on the type of music performed there I would say alternative hiphop and punk rap within the black community. I think everything within that culture is so dope. Majority of the women/girls there were fellow naturalistas. It was just beautiful to see so many people accepting and expressing there own individuality. Take a look at my day …..
